Leslie Shepard (Bishop)

Leslie Carol Shepherd Bishop, 36, West Jordan, died Jan. 4, 1988, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

   She was born August 3, 1951, in Payson, to Charles H. and Carol Jean Bylund Shepherd.  She married Donald R. Bishop on September 10, 1971, in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

   She was a homemaker and an active member of the LDS Church.  She worked in many positions.  She especially loved family history work.  She was an accomplished organist and pianist and worked part-time at home for a research company.

   Survivors include her husband and children: Michelle, Michael, Jenny, Adam, Kristy, Rebecca, Renee and Steven, all of West Jordan; her parents of Tooele; a grandmother: Aline Shepherd, Payson; brothers and sisters; Joel, Salt Lake City; Noel, Grantsville; Terry, Manhattan, Kan.; Mrs. Roger (Marsha) Dean, Orem; Melanie, Laureen and Su-Ellen, all of Tooele.

   Services will be Friday at 11 am in West Jordan 62nd LDS Ward, 6364 South 3200 West.  Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 5500 South Redwood Road and Friday one hour prior to services at the church.

   Burial will be at Redwood Memorial Estates under the direction of Memorial Estates Mortuary.
